In 2022, I was ready for a new adventure—working from home just wasn’t my vibe! I took on the role of Head of Social Media & Events for one of Scotland's beloved wedding dress shops. This is where my passion for the wedding industry truly blossomed. I crafted content daily for the boutique, documenting our brides' magical journeys of saying “YES” to the dress. 

Then in 2023, I discovered the exciting role of a wedding content creator, and with a little nudge from my amazing colleagues and my partner, Darren, I launched ur bts bestie. Since then, it’s been a whirlwind of creativity and joy! By June 2024, I took the leap into self-employment, dedicating myself entirely to my business and my wonderful couples.

Hey, I’m Emma, your soon-to-be behind the scenes bestie.

I'm 28 years old, from Glasgow. I’ve pretty much lived and breathed marketing, social media, and content creation for as long as I can remember. So much so, I remember when Instagram was launched and I was HOOKED, I'd spend hours in my room creating flatlays with my makeup, to take pictures and edit them. Graduating university in 2018, I jumped straight into the exciting world of social media and marketing, kickstarting my journey with several unpaid internships at fabulous fashion companies in Glasgow. By 2019, I landed my first full-time gig as a Social Media Executive for a Glasgow based hotel. Fast forward to 2020, and I was promoted to the UK corporate team for the hotel group as the Food & Beverage Marketing Executive, where I oversaw social media and branding for the hotel’s stunning bars and restaurants, collaborating with some of the best photographers in the industry.

What equipment do you use?

I use two iPhone Pro Max devices with advanced video and photo capabilities. They’re perfect for capturing high-quality, natural moments discreetly and creatively. With my two phones this means I capture two angles, for example, both reactions during first look. 

Will this interfere with the photographer or videographer?

Not at all! I work seamlessly alongside photographers and videographers, ensuring I capture all the special behind-the-scenes moments without disrupting their workflow. I’ve became close friends with some talented photographers and videographers along the way.

How quickly will I receive my content?

All your edited highlight reels and photos will be delivered within 24 hours—yes, the very next day! I know how exciting it is to relive the magic, so I make sure you don’t have to wait.

Do you provide all footage?

Yes! Along with your edited reels and photos, I’ll provide hundreds of unedited video clips from your day. These are perfect for creating more content later or just keeping as priceless memories.

Can I request specific moments or people to be captured?

Absolutely! I love knowing what’s most important to you. Before your wedding, you can share a list of must-capture moments.

Are you a replacement for a photographer or videographer?

No! My role is different. I’m here to capture the candid, behind-the-scenes moments and create short-form, social media-ready content to complement the official photos and video. Together, we create the full picture of your day. But your day, your way. It’s not essential to have all three at a wedding, however I don’t work weddings without a photographer present as I don’t replace them or their work. 

What if something changes in the schedule?

Weddings can be unpredictable, and that’s okay! I’m flexible and prepared to adapt to any changes on the day to ensure I don’t miss a thing.

How long do you stay at the wedding?

That depends on the package you choose:
Half-Day Package: From Getting Ready to Call for Dinner.
Full-Day Package: From Getting Ready to the First Few Dances.
